John Denver became a star through the folk-inspired songs he composed, the majority of which were set in Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell New Mexico. He discovered love for Colorado. The singer-songwriter eventually moved to Aspen. Denver's state anthems have inspired people to travel to Colorado. There isn't another performer that embodies Colorado such as John Denver said G. Brown curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. Denver was the Hall of Fame's first ever to be inducted. Denver has been the symbol of Colorado to the many people across the globe. In my journeys, you come across someone on the opposite side of the world or someone of New Zealand and you say 'I'm from Colorado and the first word that comes out of their mouth is"Oh John Denver! Brown clarified. Take Me Home Country Roads was one of Denver's top 10 singles after he performed with small folk music bands. It was co-written by and performed by Bill Danoff. Danoff had originally written the tune with Johnny Cash's music with a focus on Johnny Cash, however Denver was aware from the very first time he heard earlier versions that it would be a big success. The song was performed on stage in Washington D.C. to a large audience, Denver recorded it just days from now.
